The latest Report Runner Web Portal 2030.7b release includes a substantial set of improvements, with one of the most noticeable being a much better experience on phones and tablets.
Both the Web Portal and Administrator interfaces have been updated for modern desktop and mobile browsers. Navigation, popup windows, field spacing, loading messages, keyboard support, and general interface consistency have all been improved. These changes also make the iOS Web Portal app easier to use. A Lot of Modernization Behind the Scenes
This release also includes some important work under the hood.
Older versions of jQuery, jQuery UI, and the Ajax Control Toolkit have been upgraded to current versions, addressing published security vulnerabilities along the way. We’ve also removed old and unused browser components, including legacy Flash and ActiveX code. (ReportRunner)
Security has been improved in several other areas, including category image uploads, report and PDF links, diagnostic logging, and Web Portal data files. MFA handling has also been improved, particularly when verification emails cannot be created or sent. (ReportRunner)
Reports Got Some Attention, Too
We’ve made a number of improvements to report parameters and picklists, including date, date-range, cascading, file, and database picklists.
The Administrator report editor has also been improved, with updates to report validation, cloning, custom output formats, report instances, and static reports. Several less-common interface and report-result bugs have been cleaned up as well. (ReportRunner)
One small but useful addition is a new EnableLogFile setting in web.config. Set it to 1 and Web Portal will automatically create ErrorLog.txt when needed. Previously, you had to manually create the file to enable logging. (ReportRunner)
Before You Update
Web Portal 2030.7b requires .NET 4.8 or 4.8.1. Most modern Windows environments should already meet that requirement, but please verify before updating. (ReportRunner)

Overall, this release is less about one big new feature and more about making Web Portal more modern, mobile-friendly, secure, and reliable throughout.
